Vadodara, Gujarat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with young professionals in Vadodara, Gujarat, where he placed strong emphasis on the role of India’s youth in shaping the country’s future.

Addressing a gathering of around 6,000 young professionals at the Maharaja Sayajirao University ground, PM Modi said India’s young generation is moving forward with confidence and should not be misled by misinformation.

Taking a pointed swipe at those attempting to create confusion through misinformation, the Prime Minister said that while there may be an “echo of lies” at every crossroads, India’s youth will move ahead with the “roar of truth.”

PM Modi Highlights Dedicated Freight Corridor

During his interaction with the youth, PM Modi also spoke about India's infrastructure transformation and specifically highlighted the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC).

The Prime Minister said the idea of developing a dedicated freight corridor had emerged in 2004, but the project remained delayed for several years.

Taking a dig at the functioning of previous governments, PM Modi said important projects often remained trapped in bureaucratic processes. He described the situation by saying that files would simply “get stuck, remain pending and wander from one place to another.”

According to PM Modi, the situation changed after 2014, with greater emphasis being placed on infrastructure development, project execution and faster decision-making.

Dedicated Freight Corridor Boosts India’s Logistics Network

The Dedicated Freight Corridor is among India's most significant railway infrastructure projects. It has been developed to facilitate faster and more efficient transportation of freight across major industrial and economic corridors.

By creating dedicated routes for freight trains, the project aims to reduce congestion on existing railway lines, improve freight transportation efficiency and strengthen India's logistics network.

PM Modi cited the progress of the DFC as an example of India's changing infrastructure landscape and the government's focus on completing long-pending projects.

PM Modi’s Message to India’s Gen-Z

The interaction in Vadodara also focused heavily on India's young population and its growing role in the country's economic and technological development.

Young professionals from different sectors participated in the programme, giving them an opportunity to interact with the Prime Minister and hear his views on India's development journey.

PM Modi encouraged young Indians to remain confident, focus on facts and contribute positively to nation-building.

India's Gen-Z represents a significant part of the country's future workforce.
